Our new three year project Keeping it Wild will empower and inspire 600 young people aged 11-25, from backgrounds currently under-represented in natural heritage, to gain vital skills while discovering, conserving and sharing their experiences of the capital’s wild spaces.
Young Londoners from diverse backgrounds will have the opportunity to take part in five different activity strands, with their programme path tailored – by the young people themselves – to best suit their needs, interests and age group.
Youth led communications, social media content and film will form a key outcome of Keeping it Wild, helping to make London’s wildlife more relevant and accessible to a wider audience of young people.
Keeping it Wild is a project in partnership with John Muir Trust, London Youth, vInspired and Headliners UK. The project is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, with additional support from the George Bairstow Charitable Trust, Tallow Chandlers Charitable Trust and Investec.
