Rescuing vInspired is a digital hub bursting with opportunities for young people to change their lives and the lives of others.

Much more than just a volunteering service, vInspired helps 14 -25 year-olds build the skills they need to progress in a career they want. At the same time, vInspired provides the means to transform local communities and provide a helping hand to charities in need.

A crowfunder has been started to help rescue the platform:

Head 2Work

The tender process for the Team London funding opportunity, Head 2Work, is now live. Further details on the application process can be found here. The submission deadline is 5pm, 19 July 2019.

Head 2Work will support young Londoners, aged 18 to 24, who are currently not in employment, education or training (NEET). The project will build confidence and skills of young people through social action, whilst also working directly with business mentors and employers to receive employability training. These activities will support transition into sustained employment, education or training.

Youth Endowment Fund

The Youth Endowment Fund is a bold new attempt to put early intervention at the heart of efforts to tackle youth offending. It will support programmes and community partnerships working with children at risk of being drawn into crime and violence, and build up our knowledge of what works to prevent that.

The fund is welcoming applications from charities and social enterprises, public sector agencies (including schools, local authorities, police forces) and for-profit organisations operating in England and/or Wales to fund and evaluate interventions primarily targeting young people aged 10-14 who are judged to be at risk of being drawn into crime and violence. Organisations can apply in partnership, with one organisation as the lead applicant.
