Tampon Tax Funding Opportunity. Does your organisation work to support and empower vulnerable women and girls? Bids are open til January 20th for charities to receive at least £1 million from the Tampon Tax Fund. Find out more

‘Pocket Parks’ funding. Green-fingered communities across England can bid for a share of £1 million fund from today (5 December 2018) to help develop their own ‘pocket parks’. Pocket parks are small plots of land, often about the size of a tennis court, and mostly seen in urban spaces. They provide a green oasis which can help improve the physical and mental health of the communities using them. More info here

The Cohesion and Integration Network (COIN). COIN is a new Network, based in Manchester, which will be a charity and an independent national organisation, under a new brand and banner. It will provide a digital platform, working with policy makers and practitioners in the UK and internationally, to produce and share ideas, exchange resources and build the capacity and confidence of all organisations working to improve cohesion and integration. For more details and to sign up to receive further information visit

Opportunities for young volunteers:

  • The Summer Camps Trust, a charity dedicated to bringing children from all backgrounds together for active and enjoyable countryside holiday week, seeks young adults, aged 17 – 25, to train and work as volunteer leaders.   • Leonard Cheshire. A social action programme for anyone over 13 interested in supporting disabled people to live as independently as they choose. This includes lots of ideas and resources for short and flexible volunteering for young people, such as organising accessible events, access surveys in the community, ways to get involved with our campaigns and events, and ways to support our speaker programme.Ideal for young people who want to organise their own activities either independently or in groups.
