When I was 12, I was the victim of a terrorist attack by the Taliban at my school in Pakistan.
I came to the UK for specialist medical care and, when I was well again, started giving talks in schools about my story. I highlighted the importance of education and spoke of the dangers of being radicalised.
Having previously represented Birmingham Youth Parliament, I now am a member of Birmingham Aspiring Youth Foundation, and campaign on the right to education.
Through my campaigning work, I’ve now met the president of Pakistan, British MPs and members of the Royal Airforce. On every occasion, I share my message of peace.
