I initially got involved with social action when I joined my local Youth Advisory Board, Broadland YAB. Through this I accessed an unbelievable range of opportunities, including the chance to be the co-chair of the YAB and found its campaign group, as well as commissioning projects, working with MPs and local councillors, and hosting conferences.
This gave me the confidence to start using my own platform to raise awareness around my disability, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder. I write a blog, as well as writing for other sites, and I’m a regular volunteer with The LUNA Project, through which I help to make resources, run social media, and lead workshops. I’m also part of The Listening Fund Youth Advisory Panel, and a volunteer at the Girlguiding Norfolk Archive Resource Centre.
