Project Description

Freya Trevor-Harris, Communications Officer & Youth Voice lead

Freya joined Step Up to Serve in September 2018 as Communications Officer, working specifically to drive forward #iwill’s Youth Voice strategy and to support our community of ambassadors. Freya has returned following an internship with the campaign in the summer of 2016.

Freya previously held a role as a student committee member with Student Hubs during her time at university – promoting volunteering opportunities and social engagement within the student community, as well as running fundraising and awareness-raising events. Since then she has spent time with the World Health Organisation’s Emergency Operations Department, as well as working in Public Relations for a number of charity and corporate clients.

Freya’s social action began with leading her secondary school’s Amnesty International Society, and has also included running sex and relationships workshops in schools, youth voice activities, and youth work with military families. Freya holds a Vinspired100 award and was the co-winner of an Amnesty International UK Award for Outstanding Activism.
