Project Description

Ella Cohen, Education Manager

Ella joined Step Up To Serve in January 2019 as Senior Education Officer, working with the Associate Director for Education to forward the campaign’s work with schools, colleges, and education system leaders.

Previously, Ella worked at the Globe Theatre, managing apprenticeship and work experience schemes. Earlier roles included working in a secondary school, supporting Sixth Form students with careers and university applications, and as a Youth Worker with Noam, a Jewish Youth Movement.

Ella’s social action began as a teenager, volunteering as a Brownie leader with a local group in North London. Ella now co-runs Our Second Home, a Youth movement supporting young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.

Ella holds a History degree from the University of Birmingham, where she discovered her love of spending huge amounts of time in libraries, and spends much of her free time creating vegetarian feasts and taking long walks in her distinctive pink anorak.
