Social action is important because it makes me feel part of something bigger than myself, and enables me to bring about positive change in the community.
For a while now, I’ve been involved with McAuley Buddies, our school’s peer mentoring support programme. As a result of this work, I received a Diana Award for peer mentoring support and anti-bullying.
I’ve also found it rewarding to help young people across Doncaster to express their views. For the past two years, I’ve been a Make Your Mark champion and have gathered over 1,000 ballot papers in my school and in the wider Doncaster area.
