Project Description

Charlotte Govan, Director of Education Partnerships

Charlotte joined Step Up To Serve in November 2019 as the Director for Partnerships in Education. She is seconded to work on the campaign from the Department for Education, where she has worked in a range of roles including working with employers on the introduction of T Levels, and on the Character agenda, where she learned about the crucial role that social action can play to develop traits like confidence and resilience.
Charlotte’s first social action was through Girlguiding, where she was a volunteer supporting the group she had previously been a member of, and at university she was part of the listening service Nightline. In her spare time Charlotte enjoys watching films, trying (and failing) with new craft projects and finding any opportunity to bore people with stories about her cat, Gandalf.
