Adriana is seconded into the Step Up to Serve team from environmental charity Global Action Plan to help coordinate #iwillfornature and to establish partnerships for new Sustainable Development Goal action hub, Transform our World.
At Global Action Plan since 2014, Adriana has helped schools, hospitals and businesses reduce their carbon and resource footprints by delivering award-winning energy, water, and travel behaviour change programmes. As Creative Development Manager, she was heavily involved in the income generation, marketing and research leading to Global Action Plan’s refocused charitable mission and brand launch in late 2018. Adriana currently manages communications and collaboration for the consumerism and wellbeing portfolio.
An English language teacher in France and Vietnam for a few years, Adriana jumped into the non-profit community for the Center for Development of Community Initiatives and Environment in Vietnam and more recently for Hackney food waste entrepreneurs Rejuce, where a burning commitment to conscious consumption took hold. She holds a degree from University of Exeter in International Relations and French and a Master’s degree with distinction in Environment, Politics and Globalisation from King’s College London.
Adriana’s social action began as a teenager in Vietnam, providing after-care support to children who had undergone surgery during Operation Smile missions.
