The University of Birmingham School

The University of Birmingham School

  • The University of Birmingham School will provide plentiful social action opportunities for students to understand and develop character virtues such as resilience and empathy, and make their community and their city a better place to be. We will facilitate this by extending the school day and ensuring that there is no teaching of the formal curriculum on Wednesday afternoons to give all students the opportunity to get involved in social action.
The University of Birmingham School promotes social action through the delivery of its integrated enrichment programme which takes place for five hours each week. This a compulsory element of our educational vision where we aim to both develop the character virtues of our school community and help to make a difference to the lives of the people in Birmingham.
