Starbucks

Starbucks believes passionately in the power of youth social action to help young people develop the skills and qualities to reach their full potential and make a significant contribution to their communities. As our pledge of support towards the #iwill 2020 goal, We Will:

  • Recognise the value of youth social action in our recruitment practices through our partnership with Headstart, offering a guaranteed interview to young people who volunteer.

    · Support young people to lead social action projects in their community through “Starbucks Youth Action” providing funding and training to help get their social action projects off the ground.

    · Have an ambitious apprenticeship scheme for young people who are our Partners and ensure they continue to develop their skills through volunteering.

    · Demonstrating the impact of youth social action through these programmes and advocating its value through our senior leaders.

    · Celebrate the role young people play at Starbucks, in our workforce and through our programmes and alert them to the opportunity to become #iwill ambassadors when the campaign is recruiting.”

Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life.
Over 700 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
