The M-Powered Project pledges:

  • To encourage young people to support our work through social action and volunteering so that they can take the lead in breaking down barriers and building new relationships.
  • To use alternative methods to build confidence and skills amongst young people, for example, ‘The M-Powered Project which is focused around the themes of Courage, Challenge and Change’ which use mixed martial arts and personal development. Our model looks at the Action Component, the reflection phase and the contribution phase which is this case can link into our pledge.
  • We will recognise the sustained commitment of our young volunteers through the Millennium Volunteers programme.

No pledge update yet – we’ve only just made our pledge to the #iwill campaign.

Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life. Over 350 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
