Envision

  • By 2020 we will have recruited, trained and supported a further 4,000 business and community volunteers to support Envision groups in schools and colleges.
  • With their support, over the next six years, at least 15,000 young people will graduate from our social leadership programmes delivered in an expanding network of schools and colleges.
By 2020 we will have recruited a further 4,000 business and community volunteers to support Envision groups in schools and colleges. This year we recruited and trained nearly another 400 adults to support youth social action in schools. We trained another 250 adults coaches. Seventy volunteered on a regular weekly basis with the others delivering several coaching sessions at key points in the course of the ten-month programme. These volunteers gave us the capacity we need to ensure an ongoing process on guided reflection so that young people landed-the-learning' from their project experiences. Nearly 400 more business volunteers gave up their time to work with individual young people to produce a personal competencies reference providing evidence of a young person's competencies drawing on real examples from the programme. A further 57 volunteers supported competency-based interviewing practice. We are grateful to all those companies who supported us through employee volunteering and have enabled their staff to make a direct contribution to young people and their projects. 1033 young people graduated from our ten-month social action programme - an increase on the previous year.

Quote from Jennie Butterworth, CEO
"Its great to see the #iwill campaign galvanising so many people to prove and advocate the value of engaging young people in social action - both for the benefit of young people themselves and wider society"
