Emmaus South Wales

Emmaus South Wales

  • We will provide volunteering opportunities in our seven charity shops, allowing young people to gain valuable retail and customer service skills.
  • We will provide opportunities and resources that enable young people to learn about local social issues, including homelessness and poverty.

These opportunities fit in to the curriculum of the Welsh Baccalaureate and Duke of Edinburgh qualifications.
Solidarity Opportunities:

  • We will help and support young people through new and continued solidarity projects across South Wales.
  • We will communicate with local schools and youth organisations and provide information of how our charity tackles the homelessness issue and how they can help our cause.

We’ve just pledged to the #iwill campaign in August 2017 – watch this space for updates on our progress.

Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life.
Over 700 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
