#iwill pledges

#iwill can only be a success if partners join the campaign and make tangible pledges of support. And that is precisely what more than 700 organisations from a wide range of different sectors have already done. Take a look at what they’ve committed to do and consider how your organisation could get involved too. If you need help shaping your pledge then take a look at our pledge guidance.

Leaders in education already recognise the value of youth social action and are striving to open up more high quality opportunities. They see it as a way for young people to develop and express their character, improve work and life skills, whilst transforming their communities. Leaders who influence formal education structures across the UK – curriculums, inspectorates, admissions and recruitment policies – are incorporating youth social action into their frameworks. Outstanding pioneers in primary, secondary and tertiary education – who already include youth social action in their vision, values and ethos – are championing the cause and helping others get involved. If you want to get involved here’s what you can do: • Showcase your youth social action in awards, annual reporting, inspections and communication with parents – make it matter! • Integrate youth social action into your vision, values, strategic planning and ethos • Identify a senior member of staff to lead on youth social action • Inspire students to learn their subject or vocation through the lens of social action • Help young people reflect on what they've achieved through youth social action and how it links to their next steps • Connect students to high quality opportunities that will challenge them to lead meaningful change • Communicate what works well with others – share your resources, facilities, expertise and enthusiasm
